AEO
Why AEO Is the Next Frontier of SEO

For twenty years, SEO meant one thing: get your blue link as close to position one as possible. That game hasn't disappeared, but it's no longer the only game in town.
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of structuring content so it gets pulled directly into featured snippets, voice assistant replies and the answer boxes that now sit above traditional search results. When someone asks Siri "what's the best CRM for a five-person sales team," there's no scrolling involved — there's one answer, read aloud, from one source.
The mechanics are different from classic SEO. Answer engines favor content that is concise, structured and explicitly framed as a question-and-answer pair. That means FAQ schema markup, clear H2s phrased the way people actually search, and answers that lead with the conclusion instead of burying it in paragraph four.
We've seen clients win featured snippets within weeks simply by restructuring existing content — no new writing required, just reformatting the same expertise into the shape answer engines are looking for. The bigger wins come from combining that structural work with schema markup and a genuine answer-intent audit: mapping out the exact questions your buyers ask before they're ready to talk to sales.
SEO and AEO aren't competing disciplines. Strong technical SEO is still the foundation — crawlability, site speed, backlink authority. AEO builds on top of that foundation to capture the moments where someone wants an answer, not a list of ten links to click through. If your content strategy hasn't accounted for that shift yet, you're optimizing for a search experience that's already partially gone.
